The university produced six (6) placers in 17 board examinations in 2012, obtaining anoverall performance rating of 65.38%.
Ely Jun D. Pates tops the board examination for Agricultural Engineers (AE) August this year besting 529 other test takers.
Pates' batchmate, Rowen F. Lacanaria, placed 5th the same examination. The two finished their course this April.
Engr. Pates was recipient of RD Foundation scholarship in General Santos City and enjoyed the grant under the Commission on Higher Education – Student Assistance Fund for Education (CHEDSAFE).
In April, Ria Marie A. Palma ranked 2nd in the Electronics and Communications Engineering examination where the University got 100 percent passing rate with four test takers.
Meanwhile, Lester Ervin F. Legaspi placed 4th in the October 2012 Mechanical Engineers (ME) board exam.
Engineer Legaspi was a consistent university scholar and graduated Cum Laude in April with Pates and Lacanaria.
The September 2012 result showed 85% University passing rate as compared to the 70% national passing rate for ME. Earlier ME Special Edition Overall performance rating of 65.38% obtained examination in March showed the University's 100% passing rate.
In the October Fisheries Technologist examination, Rodelyn A. Caliso was at number eight.
The recently conducted Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), Lovella May GavileƱo Dubos ranked 6th as revealed by the November 26 result for Elementary.
Also, the University got 65% passing rate for the July 2012 Agriculturists' board exam (38% national passing rate), 75% for Electrical Engineers (53% national passing rate) conducted on September 2012, and 56% against the 48% for October 2012 CPA board examination. (Source: MSUGensan.edu.ph)
